Sustainability

Students at Crib Point Primary School are involved in sustainability education throughout their primary years, which culminates in running the school’s waste programs in Year 5. Students are actively involved in school-wide waste management initiatives such as recycling and composting. In Years 3 & 4 students are involved in Environment Week held each year at The Briars.

The “Glenda Watson Sustainability Learning Centre” or the ‘veggie patch’ as it is more commonly known, provides for a variety of formal and informal activities. We are currently housing chickens and use these and the veggie garden to enhance the school’s science program as well as provide for a lunchtime ‘Garden Club’. Years Five and Six have been involved in entrepreneurial activities involving the selling of produce grown.
