STEM

Crib Point PS has a challenging STEM Program which encourages children to explore open-ended inquiry questions through their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Key concepts in Science are explicitly taught to the students giving them the grounding they need to investigate and explore using imagination and creativity. Each term a science theme is selected from either biological, chemical, physical or earth and space sciences.

STEM encourages students to apply their understanding and knowledge to their own life, learn through discovery, investigation and challenging ideas. As budding scientists (or STEMists!!), children are engaged in hands-on experiences and experiments where they make predictions and observations, collect and record data in a variety of ways.
