ICT - Information Communication Technology
At Crib Point Primary School, ICT is a fundamental component of teaching and learning which occurs anytime and anywhere. We strive for our students to:
- Be technologically literate
- Use ICT to engage and facilitate their learning through collaboration and investigation
- Enhance their personal and interpersonal development by interacting effectively with others in a cyber-safe manner
- Incorporate digital technologies to enrich their daily lives
Crib Point Primary School has invested a great deal of money into Multimedia across the school. ICT is embedded into teaching and learning across all curriculum areas and is not isolated to a specialist lesson. Resources such as laptops (with a 1:1 ratio of laptops per student), iPads, digital cameras, 3D printers and electronic microscopes are all available to the students to incorporate into daily activities. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and wireless internet connection.
Being an eSmart school, cyber-safety is at the forefront of all ICT learning. The eSafety government website is a valuable resource with information for both parents and children. Parents can download the Cybersafety help button from this website:
