At Crib Point Primary School, we believe all members of our community have the right to a learning and work environment free from intimidation, humiliation and hurt. We all share a responsibility to create a culture of caring where bullying is not tolerated.
Bullying is repeated, deliberate and where there is an imbalance of power (where the bully or bullies have more power due to age, size, status or other reasons). Bullying is when someone, or a group of people, deliberately upset or hurt another person or damage their property, reputation or social acceptance on more than one occasion. Bullying may occur because of perceived differences such as culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability or disability, religion, body size, physical appearance, age or economic status. Bullying may be motivated by jealousy, distrust, fear, misunderstanding or lack of knowledge. It can continue over time, is often hidden from adults and will probably continue if no action is taken.
If you believe your child is being bullied or if you have witnessed any incident of bullying at school, you can download the bullying incident report form and drop it into the school office or speak directly to the principal or teacher at school.
